Side Return Extension, Summertown

A side-return extension makes the most of what was an unloved external space at the rear of this terraced house.

The extension creates a dining room and links the kitchen and rear reception rooms. Light pours in from the roof windows above.

We designed the solid oak bench with a radiator hidden underneath, creating the perfect spot for reading or enjoying the garden even on a winters day.

Exterior detailing was kept simple and clean by using a buff facing brick and slates to match the existing house.
